Paint Removal

The situation may vary depending upon the individual needs and these are generally outlined in your proposal however below are the general steps we will take on delivering your paint removal project.
Determine the best course of action.
Test all surfaces and layers of paint to be removed and confirm if the paint contains lead. Obtain laboratory tests if lead based paint is suspected. For chemical stripping, apply a number of test patches to the surface that is to be stripped to determine the most appropriate course of action.
Set Up
- Externally
Secure area, set up containment area, cover ground and vegetation with plastic sheeting and close windows and doors. - Internally
Remove all furniture, rugs, soft furnishing, food, clothes and household effects etc. Cover floors with heavy plastic taped to skirting boards and plastic up entrances to rooms.
Removal options
Paint will be removed through either, wet scraping and sanding, HEPA sanders connected to mechanical vacuum systems, chemical stripping and specialist wet sanding equipment
Clean
Clean all surface with a vacuum fitted with HEPA filter and various wet cleaning processes. Remove and transport solid waste to an approved disposal site.
We carry out inspections throughout the painting project, after a final inspection you are invited to inspect our work and provide feedback.
